Gas
NuB is the most commonly used gas cylinder type in the Canary Islands. It can be exchanged or purchased at many stations; the nearest is the Disa service station opposite Ikea and Lidl, on the Los Mármoles road.
In the Canary Islands, the domestic gas used is butane, not propane. To refill Calor Gas-type cylinders, etc., you need to take them to the DISA depot (open on weekdays until 3:00 PM).
Chandlery
Just a few minutes’ walk from the marina, in Puerto de Naos, right opposite the marina, you’ll find well-stocked specialist shops such as Suministros San Ginés, Sucesores de Hermenegildo Duarte and Inoxnaval.
You can also find chandlery items in the marina at the Navalia Yachting shop.
Sailing around the Canary Islands

To request authorisation from the Cabildo of Lanzarote to anchor at La Graciosa (Playa Francesa) or Alegranza (El Veríl), you can do so using the following form: Application for Authorisation to Carry Out Anchoring Activity in the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park, completing it with your details and sending it by email to: medioambiente3@cabildodelanzarote.com
Requesting a Berth in Canary Islands Ports
To request a berth or anchorage in one of the Canary Islands Ports, you can fill in their online form, selecting the option “Mooring Service Provision” and attaching a copy of your ID card or passport, the registration document, and a copy of your boat insurance.
Markets and supermarkets
Don’t miss Arrecife’s local market. It takes place on Saturday mornings in Plaza de Las Palmas, next to the Church of San Ginés. It’s an ideal place to stock up on local produce as well as fruit and vegetables. It’s easy to come across folk group performances, which makes your shopping trip especially enjoyable and colourful.
There’s a good variety of supermarkets within walking distance, including a Hiperdino on one of the capital’s main shopping streets, Calle Real. You can also find a Mercadona and a Hiperdino on Calle Pérez Galdós. Both offer home delivery to the marina (in Hiperdino’s case, this service is free for purchases over €60). Make sure you explain where your berth is. There’s also a Lidl supermarket (next to Ikea) about a 15-minute walk away. Chacón is at Calle Velacho 23, about 10 minutes from the marina, and is especially recommended for meat and cured meats, which can also be vacuum-packed. Don’t forget to bring your plastic bottles and cans: the shop has recycling machines that reward you with vouchers to use in-store.
Haul-out and repairs
Marina Lanzarote has a large boatyard with two cranes of 820 and 100 tonnes. One of the largest travel lifts of its kind in Spain can lift multihulls up to 14.5 m in length, and the boatyard also has two pits that make it easier to work on boats ashore. There are many specialists who also service this boatyard, including sailmaking, rigging, electronics, welding and mechanics, fibreglass, etc. For more information, please visit our Boatyard section or contact our office: varadero@marinalanzarote.com Tel: +34 630 737 916
Fuel
Marina Lanzarote offers refuelling service at the last pontoon (K), the one closest to the Harbourmaster’s Office, and it is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. You can contact us on VHF channel 9 to request the service as you approach the marina. You can pay in cash or by credit card. Boats that need a large amount of fuel can also arrange bunkering. Please contact the Harbourmaster’s Office for more information.
