Open-air cinema, intimate concerts, major sporting events and the best live music take centre stage in a programme designed to help you enjoy the summer and the start of autumn in a unique seaside setting.
Marina Lanzarote is taking another step forward in its commitment to offering experiences that connect with residents and visitors, establishing itself as one of the island’s leading venues for leisure, culture and sport. Over the coming months, the marina will be rolling out a full programme of activities that will bring its facilities to life and reinforce its role as a meeting place where visitors can enjoy unique moments by the sea.
The season kicks off with one of the year’s major new events: the first edition of Marina Lanzarote Summer Cinema, an initiative designed to let you enjoy summer evenings with family and friends. The opening event will take place on 10 June with a screening of the film Wicked I (2024), marking the start of a series that will run every month and is set to become one of the summer’s standout events.
Music will once again take centre stage thanks to Marina Suena – Notas al Viento, an initiative that focuses on the intimacy and emotion of intimate concerts. On this occasion, the spotlight will be on the Bravo Duo, who will offer an elegant piano and vocal performance during an evening designed to enjoy music in an exclusive and cosy atmosphere.
Sport will also feature prominently on Marina Lanzarote’s calendar. From 10 to 11 July, the marina will once again host the well-established Summer Challenge, an event that brings together athletes and enthusiasts every year for one of the summer’s most eagerly awaited competitions.
In addition, cycling enthusiasts will have the chance to take part in a social ride organised in partnership with Q36.5 and Tribike, an experience that combines sport, community and a passion for cycling.
The action will continue in August with the prestigious César Manrique Cruiser Trophy, one of the Canary Islands’ major sailing events, which will once again fill Arrecife Bay with spectacle and excitement.
September will bring one of the archipelago’s most important cultural events: Arrecife en Vivo. Marina Lanzarote will once again form part of the festival’s official route as one of its venues, bringing the best live music to thousands of attendees. As a new addition, on 5 September it will also host the Arrecife en Vivo Channel, a special day dedicated to local talent that will bring together several bands from Lanzarote in a festive and intimate atmosphere.
This programme builds on the success of the events held over recent months, such as Mother’s Day and the special Marina Suena – Canary Islands Day, initiatives that were very well received and have strengthened Marina Lanzarote’s connection with the local community.
With this new programme, Marina Lanzarote reaffirms its commitment to offering much more than just a marina: a vibrant space where you can enjoy culture, sport, fine dining and leisure in one of the island’s most stunning locations.
